More Details
Sessions are 1-½ hours each, from 8 to 9:30 pm EST (UTC/GMT -5) on Mondays.

The basic structure, which is necessarily loose, is a brief check-in, in which members talk about their challenges that week; a discussion of the most important issues that come from the check-in, sharing support and discussing solutions that group members have had success with in their life (different people may need support depending on their needs that week); and infrequent presentations on a Spiritual Abuse recovery topic, followed by a brief discussion.

The group takes place via conference call.

This brief outline may not give a good idea of how powerful group therapy/support can be. It's somewhat like having 10 pairs of eyes focusing on your growth, as opposed to just one pair in individual therapy.

Feel free to write me to apply or with any questions or concerns you might have.

About Me
I am a licensed psychotherapist who has worked with over 2,000 former toxic group, abusive church, or cult members since 1995.

I designed these sessions for people who left their toxic groups, but still face challenges functioning in life. Difficulties might include: career/education, relationships, finances, health, depression, grief, shame, re-establishing spirituality — any challenge caused by your time in your group. (You might be interested in reading a list of Spiritual Abuse symptoms here.)

The groups are open to anyone who is recovering from abuse by any toxic group. The groups are limited to a maximum of 8 members, on a first-come, first-served basis.

I am a 23+ year former member of Transcendental Meditation in recovery from Spiritual Abuse for 16 years.

I've been a Spiritual Abuse activist since 1995 and have worked with over 2,000 current and former members of eastern meditation groups, new age groups, multi-level marketing groups, christian/bible-based groups and churches, and many, many more.

I became a licensed mental health professional in 2005. You can read more about my practice here.
